Community Outreach

The Outreach Committee designates monthly recipients of charitable donations from the people of St James.  Household goods, clothing, etc. are also collected by the committee and taken to Providence House and the Family Violence Center.  St James also has Salvation Army food barrels in the parish hall so that parishioners can donate food. We collect individual sized toiletries to assist a couple of groups who have requested our assistance.

​We weekly deliver Meals on Wheels for the Council on Aging in the neighborhood surrounding our church.  Additionally, monthly a group of women prepare lunch and serve it at Hope House to support our homeless community. Some of our members work at the Northwest Louisiana Food Bank - Martha's Market Food Pantry to assist in keeping the food stocked, clients checked in, and groceries sacked.
